Install Northbeams

Northbeams installs in two places, and most teams start with both.

The browser extension

The Chrome extension gives you in-browser visibility and prompt classification. Install it from your download page and sign in with your workspace account. It runs on the device: the original prompt text never leaves the browser.

The desktop app

The Northbeams app for Mac and PC covers the other three surfaces: desktop AI apps, CLI tools, and the MCP Gateway. Download it from the download page and sign in with the same workspace account. It watches outbound connections and process names, with no proxy, no MITM certificate, and no network change.

Roll it out to your team

For a fleet, deploy the desktop app with your MDM (the Windows installer is Intune-deployable) and share the extension link with your users. Everyone signs in to the same workspace, and their activity shows up on one dashboard.
